Martin Truex Jr. Foundation partners with Clean Juice to bring juices to healthcare workers

Apr 1, 2020

The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation (MTJF) has partnered with Clean Juice during this difficult time navigating COVID-19 to bring fresh, immune boosting juices to health care workers on the front lines of this health crisis at Novant Health and Atrium Health.

NASCAR Champion and president of the MTJF, Martin Truex Jr. and his longtime girlfriend Sherry Pollex, kicked off the campaign on Friday, March 27 with an initial donation of $1,000. Donors and supporters of MTJF have rallied behind the program, including an anonymous donor pledging $1,000.

The first delivery of over 300 juices will be delivered to Novant Health in uptown Charlotte, N.C. on April 1. The second delivery of another 300+ juices is scheduled to be delivered to Atrium health on April 3.

“I’ve been an advocate for healthy eating and teaching others how to take care of their bodies through health and wellness since my cancer diagnosis. This is just one small way we can give back to the healthcare workers on the frontlines that are sacrificing so much.” said Pollex, co-founder and Vice President of the MTJF. “After speaking with the hospitals, their biggest need right now is keeping their staff healthy and fed. Many of them are working long shifts with no breaks for lunch or dinner. This is our way of making sure we are keeping their immune systems healthy and spreading a little kindness.”

The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation supports cancer initiatives at Atrium Health and Novant Health in Charlotte, N.C., as well as helping drive awareness, boost advocacy and generate financial support for underfunded cancer initiatives specific to ovarian and childhood cancers.
